If there’s one thing that Andrea loves doing, it’s splashing in waterfalls. It had been pouring down for 2 days, and this meant that it was perfect timing for a bit of fun. So, she put on her Farmerrain waterproofs over her black wetlook PVC trousers and leotard, and set off in the heavy rain in search of tumbling water.
She headed for the long-abandoned stone quarry about a mile from the farm. There was an ancient steam crane there, and the remains of the railway tracks that it used to run along. There was also a lovely waterfall and a small river. Climbing the waterfall was exhilarating, as was sitting-back under the flow, warm and dry in her waterproof suit.
But warm and dry is not where the fun is, so she slowly removed the Farmerrain waterproof suit and enjoyed wading and dunking herself in the freezing water in just her black wetlook PVC and her shiny Musto wellies.
After almost an hour she was starting to feel the cold, so she struggled back into the blue waterproof bib-pants and jacket, and with a final dunking ‘for the journey home’ she headed to the car. Chasing waterfalls is all well and good, but the fun starts when you catch one!
