It had been raining hard for days and everything was flooded; Andrea never misses a chance like this to go splashing. Wearing her leChameau rubber waders and a two-piece Gore-tex hunting suit she strode along the banks of the river near to home. It was still raining but she was warm and dry, at least for the time being, and really enjoying wading through the torrents of water running in the gullies and across the river bank.
She became increasingly daring, with water lapping over the tops of her waders, making her neoprene socks squelch inside her boots. Even with the water mid-way up her buttocks she was still dry inside, thanks to the waterproof zips in the Gore-tex trousers and the knee high neoprene socks fitting snuggly around her legs inside the tight waders. It seemed like she was never going to get wet!
But then her fortune changed for the better 🙂 ! She was wading downstream in the river, with the water almost up to her waist, when she slipped on a rock and fell headfirst into the fast flowing water – you can tell by her reaction that it was completely unplanned!
The water was freezing and by the time she’d managed to get to her feet she was drenched to her shoulders inside the hunting suit; so, she sat on the soggy bank and stripped off her soaking trousers, revealing the devil inside. It was now time to splash her way back to the truck, with waders rolled-down and an arm full of very wet clothing.
A job well done indeed…
